I ordered a package for one-day delivery, paying extra for that luxury. I was out for a good portion of the day, since the only details I had were that the package would arrive "by 8pm". I assumed that, as normal, the package would be on my doorstep waiting for me when I returned home if it arrived while I was out, but it seems that such basic courtesies are outside the scope of UPS' services.
The package apparently arrived here at 2:20pm, but since "the customer was not available", they took the package and are apparently going to hold it at the nearest UPS store. Not only do I not get my package in the one day that I paid extra for, but I must now go and retrieve said package myself. I will never use UPS again. I will ensure that any item I buy is shipped by FedEx or the USPS, since they apparently know that people can't stay rooted to their homes for 24 hours waiting for a package.
Terrible. I went in to have 2 forms filled with script. I returned and they screwed up one of the forms and had the audacity to ask me for another copy of it. It would make more sense if they scanned the blank document first,then practice a couple times before attempting the finished product. I understand mistakes happen,but most people are not going to carry extras with them.
I was having trouble receiving delivery at our new construction home and spoke with Laura at the UPS Store in Seaford. She gave me the number of the Customer Center in Harrington where I was able to give them directions to my house and received my package the same day. Great job UPS Store!
I have only had a box there for a few months and when I walk in they know who I am and get me quickly back on the road. I've never had a bad experience!
Not that they will, because the twits of the world always find a way to survive, but I fervently hope that UPS goes under.
